Hello and welcome to this ensure TV Update. I'm your host Rory Palmer Making the headlines A CSA discontinued two products in the UK and Flood Appoint Bridget Rosewell as its new chair.

First up. Five insurance industry veterans have set up Mods, a new venture which automates insurance verification for property managers and for auto dealers.

CEO and co founder Frederick Wait, a veteran entrepreneur, has assembled a team with varied insurance industry experience to launch this latest venture. Now. Prior to forming motives, he established BC FA software platform, acquired by VER. Four in 2006, and Analytics platform Yodel, which was purchased by Duck Creek in 2016, both of which are in the insurance space.

Now four highly experienced insurance executives join him in the leadership team, each containing years of experience across several key areas of the industry.

Next up, AXA has decided to stop offering ACSA First and ACSA Residential let policies in the UK, both part of the insurer's retail intermediary home strategy. The decision relates to policies with a start or renewal date on or after September 1st 2023. Now, according to a CSA, the products will no longer be available to sell and will not show on its panel for broken partners, and similarly, renewal invites will not be offered.

Also making the news In this update, Aviva has announced it will buy Barclays UK home insurance portfolio Now. The acquisition, which comprises 350,000 customers, will support Aviva's ambitions to further grow its retail insurance business and will complete sometime in August. Now, Aviva has been a strategic partner of Barclays for 18 years, where it's underwritten and provided servicing and claims management for Barclays Home insurance customers.

And finally, Flood Re has appointed Bridget Roswell as non executive director and chair. Currently, Rosewell is the NED of audit and risk for the UK Infrastructure Bank and non executive director of Northumbrian Water. Now she has a wealth of experience across various industries, most recently in infrastructure, utilities, financial services and transport. She also served as the chief economic advisor to the Greater London Authority from 2002 to 2012.
